The good vibes that surrounded the Dolphins for the last several months disintegrated Tuesday.
The team was docked two draft picks, including 2023’s first-rounder, and owner Stephen Ross was suspended through Oct. 17 after an NFL investigation concluded Ross had “impermissible communications” with quarterback Tom Brady and former Saints coach Sean Payton.
Both were under contract with their respective teams when the communication happened.
Ross was also fined $1.5 million, and Vice Chairman Bruce Beal was fined $500,000. Neither man can attend a league meeting for the remainder of this year.
The team also loses a 2023 third-round draft selection.
