No NFL team has ever had a season like the 1972 Miami Dolphins, and the organization announced a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Miami’s perfect 17-0 season.
The Dolphins will name members of the 1972 team as alumni captains at every home game by position groups. They will also have an exhibit at Hard Rock Stadium, including artifacts and memorabilia from the 1972 team.
The salute to perfection culminates on Oct. 23 during Miami’s prime-time game against Pittsburgh. The team will also wear throwback jerseys in that game with a commemorative patch honoring the perfect team.
