New pavilion heralds return of public events to historic home

by carlislewillard

The Sample-McDougald House in Pompano Beach has been largely closed to public events during the pandemic, but the historic home is preparing to ramp up reasons to visit this landmark on the National Register of Historic Places.

An art exhibit and a musical performance series are now underway, and tours are available hourly at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday at the city-owned property.

Now, larger events will not be at the mercy of inclement weather at the location, 450 NE 10th  St. A new pavilion seats 175. More information is available here.
