Two-term lawmaker faces a challenge from his right side

Republican voters living along Palm Beach County’s northern coast will consider two Republicans brought to a Primary battle because of the decennial redistricting process.

Two-term Rep. Mike Caruso decided to go north to House District 87 after his Delray Beach home became part of a district that includes more of Palm Beach County’s western suburbs. Incumbent Democrat Rep. Joe Casello also lives in the new district.

Jane Justice, a real estate agent, has also filed for the seat. For her first bid for elected office, she’s criticizing Caruso’s Republican bona fides. She also secured the endorsement of President Donald Trump’s associate Roger Stone.
