The Dolphins closed out the exhibition season in high-flying style Saturday, blowing out the Philadelphia Eagles 48-10.

The onslaught began on Miami’s first play, when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa hit Tyreek Hill  for 51 yards.

“I was just happy for those two individuals because they’ve invested a lot. I was happy for the team and the organization really because they’ve invested a lot,” Coach Mike McDaniel said.

The Dolphins had 457 total yards. Tagovailoa had 121 yards and one TD, and rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson had three TD passes.

Miami opens the regular season at home Sept. 11 against New England.
