The University of Miami Hurricanes eases into the regular season Saturday with a home game against Bethune-Cookman University.
The ‘Canes are heavy favorites against the Wildcats, who finished 2-9 last season. Miami, meanwhile, is favored to win its division in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and new head coach Mario Cristobal has been signing a bumper crop of top recruits for next season as he rebuilds the program.
Big things are expected from Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.
He was added to two top watch lists: the Manning Award and the College Football Performance Awards National Performer of the Year Trophy.
