The Boca Raton Museum of Art is offering free admission Saturday and Sunday to celebrate the opening of Reginald Cunningham: Black Pearls, a photographic exhibition featuring residents of Boca Raton’s historic Pearl City neighborhood.
This exhibit is an homage to Pearl City, Boca Raton’s Black enclave that was built in 1915. Cunningham’s special exhibition will feature photographs, audio oral histories, and personal mementos passed down through families for generations.
Included in the display: Photographs of those who descended from the original families that settled there in 1915. Get more details about this special event at 501 Plaza Royal in Boca Raton here.
