Owls scored a lot of points, but Ohio U. put up more

Florida Atlantic scored enough points to win most games, but it wasn’t enough against the Ohio University Bobcats.

The Owls fell to 1-1 after losing 41-38 Saturday in Athens.

FAU trailed by 17 points with 7:10 left to play, but a late rally fell short.

“You talk about playing at home or playing on the road, you just can’t turn the ball over,” Coach Willie Taggart said.

“We turned it over on our side of the field twice, and they got points out of it. You can’t have eight penalties for 90 yards to try and win on the road.”
