Renters suffering pandemic-caused financial hardships and rent increases can apply for aid through the county Emergency Rental Assistance Program.
ERAP is for individuals making less than $54,600, couples making less than $62,400, families of three earning less than $70,200, or families of four earning less than $78,000. Miami-Dade residents must have a lease, be requesting assistance for their primary residence and have experienced financial difficulty due to COVID-19.
“Through programs like these, we can help make our residents whole again and close the affordability gap,” Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said.
