For the Dolphins, now it’s “Captain” Tagovailoa

The Dolphins spent months leading to the start of the 2022 season expressing great confidence in quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Starting Sunday, at home against the New England Patriots, it’s Tagovailoa’s chance to prove that faith is justified. His teammates voted him as one of the Dolphins’ captains, which Coach Mike McDaniel applauded.

“I  think it says everything. I think that’s incredibly important,” McDaniel said.

“When it’s done with the right reasons with the right intent, and that was the only the only thing that I gave the players was like, ‘Who do you want, representing you, each and every game?'”
