Jaylin Martir, a former aide to Republican Rep. Anthony Rodriguez, is the new director of government and political affairs at the Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter.

Martir will coordinate the association’s federal, local and educational outreach.

“We are excited to have Jaylin join our team and work to make sure the construction industry’s voice is heard on a political level,”said Peter Dyga, president and CEO of the group.

Martir was also a political affairs liaison for the Office of the Majority Leader of the Florida House and managed several political campaigns, including State Rep. Juan Fernandez-Barquin.
