Government relations specialist Kevin Marino Cabrera’s bid for the Miami-Dade Commission received a big boost from the Mayors of two major cities in the county.
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago, whose cities are home to nearly 20% of the county’s 2.7 million residents, endorsed Cabrera to succeed term-limited Commissioner Rebeca Sosa.
Their nods join others from former President Donald Trump, U.S. Rep. María Elvira Salazar, Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, Miami state Rep. Daniel Perez and Hialeah Mayor Steve Bovo, among others.
Cabrera faces Coral Gables Commissioner Jorge Fors in a Nov. 8 runoff.
