The Miami Hurricanes shrugged off a sluggish first half Saturday and blew past Southern Miss 30-7.
The ‘Canes improved to 2-0, but things will be getting tougher quickly. They are at Texas A&M on Sept. 17.
Miami trailed 7-3 late in the first half but scored the last 27 points to salt the game away.
Running back Henry Parrish rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown for Miami, while quarterback Tyler Van Dyke threw for 230 yards and a touchdown.
“… I think adversity, we needed that for the rest of the season, just to experience that a little,” Van Dyke said.
