The Mike McDaniel era of Dolphins football got off to a solid start Sunday as Miami easily handled New England 20-7 at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Dolphins’ new head coach, McDaniel, took over play-calling duties for the first time. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel noted, McDaniel “showed diversity and creativity. The moment wasn’t too big for McDaniel, and that bodes well for the season.”
Tyreek Hill had eight catches for 94 yards, and Jaylen Waddle caught a 42-yard touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa.
The Dolphins’ defense had a dominant day, forcing three turnovers and held the Patriots to 78 yards rushing.
