The Miami Hurricanes slipped in the USA Today AFCA Coaches Poll, falling 12 spots to No. 25 following their 17-9 loss at Texas A&M.
The Aggies, who were stunned by Appalachian State at home the week before, held the ‘Canes to three field goals, delighting the crowd of more than 107,000 at Kyle Field.
“We played hard, we played physical, we played tough,” UM Coach Mario Cristobal said. “Mistakes, miscues, and certainly gave ourselves a chance to at least tie the game there in the end, but not good enough. We gotta get better.”
Miami hosts Middle Tennessee on Saturday.
