Far more money has gone to broadcast buys in Congressional District 27 than any other district in the area. In fact, the race for CD 27 is the third-costliest congressional contest in Florida this cycle.
Campaigns and political committees have spent more than $3.1 million in the district, which spans part of Miami-Dade. That includes $1.7 million in airtime buys by Republican Congressional Leadership Fund to help U.S. Rep. María Elvira Salazar to win re-election Nov. 8.
The campaign of her Democratic opponent, Annette Taddeo, says that “last-minute scramble” of spending proves Taddeo is “on track to flip this district.”
