Miami-area Rep. Daniel Perez is collecting items for hurricane relief at his district office through Friday.
“It’s time to come together – Floridians helping Floridians,” the Republican tweeted. “Our hearts continue to be with our neighbors in SW Florida.”
He’s accepting nonperishable foods, water bottles, blankets, sunscreen, bug spray, propane tanks, can openers, candles, lighters/matches, flashlights, diapers and pet food for cats and dogs at his Miami office, located at 1550 SW 109 Ave., Suite 322.
He’s also urging donors to consider giving to the Florida Disaster Fund, the state’s private fund channeling funds to government, private organizations and nonprofits on site.
