Lobbyist Kevin Marino Cabrera’s Miami-Dade Commission campaign now has support from Florida’s youngest municipal Mayor.
Eric Diaz-Padron, who was 27 when elected West Miami Mayor in April, announced his endorsement Tuesday, citing Cabrera’s “extensive experience” in the public and private sectors.
“I feel strongly that he is uniquely qualified to tackle the challenges we face in County Hall,” Diaz-Padron said.
Cabrera is competing in a Nov. 8 runoff against Coral Gables Commissioner Jorge Fors Jr. for the County Commission’s District 6 seat.
West Miami, Coral Gables and Hialeah are among several cities in the district, which sits north-center in Miami-Dade.
