Mistakes doom Owls in loss at North Texas

Florida Atlantic will get a break until Oct. 15, giving them time to regroup after its losing streak reached three games with a 45-28 loss at North Texas.

The Owls allowed North Texas to rush for 300 yards and hold a seven-minute edge in time of possession.

“I feel like we left somewhere around 20 points on the board with the dropped passes,” FAU Coach Willie Taggart said.

“For a football team that’s looking to win on the road, we’ve got to have those. That’s how you win on the road. Those are the guys that we count on daily.”
