Fort Lauderdale’s inaugural A21 Walk For Freedom to raise awareness, fight human trafficking

Florida has the third-most human trafficking cases of any state nationwide, and South Florida is a hotbed for it. This Saturday, Broward County Assistant State Attorney Sheena Kelly is hosting a walk to raise awareness and funds to combat the problem.

The inaugural A21 Walk For Freedom: Fort Lauderdale is one of hundreds happening worldwide Oct. 15 against human trafficking. Kelly expects 100 to 250 people to participate in the walk, which begins 8 a.m. at the Nancy J. Cotterman Center downtown and runs until noon.

Kelly is seeking sponsors for the event. Email [email protected] for more details.
