Miami-Dade clears $762K for unnamed company setting up shop in county

by carlislewillard

A mystery company planning a massive operations expansion in Miami-Dade just secured $762,500 in incentives in exchange for a large capital improvement commitment and creating 90 jobs paying more than $64,000 yearly.

County Commissioners OK’d resolutions by Jose “Pepe” Diaz and Keon Hardemon authorizing the funds through Miami-Dade’s Targeted Jobs Incentive Fund.

The unnamed business, which county COO Jimmy Morales called a “national food and beverage manufacturing and processing company,” committed to spending $36.3 million on building two warehousing and distribution facilities in Miami and Doral.

Its employee benefits are identical to those food giant Kroger began offering workers in 2018.
