Winner: Annette Taddeo.
A new survey shows Taddeo in a toss-up race against incumbent GOP U.S. Rep. María Elvira Salazar, with Taddeo even holding a slight edge. Not only that, former Florida GOP Chair Al Cárdenas also announced he’s backing Taddeo, the Democrat, in the swing race in Florida’s 27th Congressional District.
Loser: Gabriel Gonzalez.
Republican Juan Carlos Porras has dominated Gonzalez in fundraising since the Primary Election, as the two compete for the open House District 119 seat. Porras raised nearly $73,000 between Aug. 23 and Sept. 23, while Gonzalez has only pulled in around $12,000 since May.
