The University of Miami disintegrated on the home turf of Hard Rock Stadium, falling 45-21 to ACC rival Duke.
The ‘Canes committed eight turnovers and allowed four sacks, including one that knocked out starting quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. They fell to 3-4 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
“If someone’s not playing hard, they have to go play somewhere else. What we have to do requires tough people. To turn a program, rebuild it, it requires tough-minded people willing to do the work,” Canes Coach Mario Cristobal said.
He is in the first year of a 10-year, $80 million contract.
