Miamians delight in creepy carnival, morbid mansion, macabre museum

There’s no shortage of delightfully frightful attractions for Miami-Dade residents to revel in this Halloween. Among them:

• House of Horror Haunted Carnival: a kid-friendly fairgrounds at Miami International Mall in Doral featuring rides, three haunted houses, food and games. (Oct. 26-31)

• Cortez Manor: The Revenge: a sequel event at the historic Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs centering on the story of a sanitarium, sadistic doctor and his scorned, terrifying wife. (Oct. 28-31)

• Museum of Horror: an unsettling transformation of the Museum of Illusions on Miami Beach into a ghoulish experience oozing with “spooktacular” items, locales and supernatural beings. (Oct. 29-31)
