The Horrorland ‘scream park’ brings real scares to Miami

by carlislewillard

South Florida residents and visitors seeking thrills and chills can look no further than The Horrorland, an elaborate, legitimately scary Halloween “scream park” now underway at Jungle Island in Miami.

A production of Hialeah-based Live305 Entertainment, the Horrorland features the macabre yet humorous “Vampire Circus” and five haunted houses so unsettling that attendees – recommended to be at least 13 – must first sign a waiver before entering the park.

Expect an abundance of depraved clowns, restless spirits and other macabre beings – plus food, booze, carnival games and fortunetellers.

Tickets start at $49. The event opens at 7 p.m. daily through Oct. 31.
