County’s most expensive House race puts Highland Beach Commissioner against Boca Councilman

by carlislewillard

Palm Beach County’s most expensive House race pits a twice-elected Boca Raton Councilman, a Democrat, against a twice-elected Highland Beach Town Commissioner, a Republican, in the newly drawn House District 91.

Boca’s Andy Thomson would appear to have the advantage on Highland Beach’s Peggy Gossett-Seidman, however. He raised more money from outside donations – more than $400,000 – to her $106,000. And election data shows the district that takes in Boca Raton, Highland Beach and parts of West Boca leaned toward President Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Thomson also received publicity that some consider priceless – endorsements from The Palm Beach Post and the Sun-Sentinel.
