‘Canes face plant in blowout loss to FSU

The football season is spiraling out of control for the University of Miami.

Florida State humiliated the Hurricanes Saturday, pounding them 45-3 before a loud sellout crowd at Hard Rock Stadium. It was Miami’s fourth straight home game loss, the first time that had happened since 1973.

“The place was electric, and I have to apologize [to our fans],” UM Coach Mario Cristobal said. “I hate it for our people, I hate it for our players, I hate it for our fans.”

The ‘Canes fell to 4-5 overall and now are in jeopardy of becoming ineligible for a postseason bowl game.
