Miami scored a badly needed victory Saturday over Georgia Tech 35-14, recovering from last week’s humiliating 34-point home game beatdown,

Tasked with keeping his team’s postseason hopes alive, freshman Jacurri Brown pulled it out and shone in his starting quarterback debut. He completed 14-of-19 passes for 136 yards and threw three touchdowns.

The Sun Sentinel lauded the performance of three other freshman in Saturday’s game. Linebacker Wesley Bissainthe, made his first career start with six tackles. Tight end Jaleel Skinner made his first career touchdown catch. And offensive lineman Anez Cooper made the grade in run blocking and pass blocking.
