Coconut Creek park wins national contest for $75K refresh

by

The election is over and Coco Point Park in Coconut Creek came out a winner – for a $75,000 grant from Niagara Cares, the philanthropic foundation of the water company.

The park that serves the southwest part of the city came out on top from the dedicated voting of its supporters going to the site.

From the grant, also awarded to two parks in Texas, Coco Point Park will have a nature space added to the playground area. Plans are to include a butterfly and pollinator garden, exercise equipment and walkways to the existing area, located at 4870 Northwest Sixth Street.
