The Dolphins looked unstoppable seconds into Sunday’s game against San Francisco as Trent Sherfield caught quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s pass and charged 75 yards into the endzone.
But then it all fell apart and the Dolphin’s five-game winning streak came crashing to a halt.
Tagovailoa did not complete 15 of 33 passes, up against back-up quarterback Brock Purdy who completed 25 of 37 passes. The second stringer was in for injured San Francisco quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Purdy – the last pick in last year’s draft – was able to complete 210 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Next up, the Los Angeles Chargers.
