Much ink was spilled in high expectation of what mojo Mario Cristobal could bring back to the U as he came on as head coach of the Miami Hurricanes football program last year.
But alas, the program under Cristobal’s direction got lost on the comeback trail and the team ended the season with a 5-7 record that tied with another season for the worst in 45 years, the Florida Times-Union reports.
Some of the defeats were so lopsided, fans at the Hard Rock Stadium were exiting at halftime.
The season ended with a 42-16 loss to Pittsburgh State last week.
