Winner: Biscayne Bay.
Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that he’s committing to nearly $23 million in water quality projects related to Biscayne Bay. That includes $14.5 million to assess Miami-Dade water quality and reduce pollution, and millions more to help improve sewage disposal.
Loser: David Rivera.
The disgraced ex-Congressman has been indicted and arrested. Rivera has been under the gun ever since reports emerged that Rivera’s consulting firm agreed to a $50 million contract with a Venezuelan-controlled oil company, and Rivera reportedly did not register as a foreign agent. The indictment will greatly hurt Rivera’s chances to botch another political comeback.
