South Florida’s high schools have long served as factories for National Football League fame and now Hurricanes coach Mario Cristobal has his eye on a trio of players from his school, Miami Columbus High School, according to the Sun Sentinel.
Remember these names: TJ Capers, Daylen Russell and Dylan Stephenson. All three members of the Explorers defensive line hold offers from the University of Miami. But there’s waiting involved – the juniors can’t sign with a school until a year from now. Other schools have also made offers, the paper reported.
Cristobal graduated from the Roman Catholic high school in 1988.
