Arts, music and authentic cuisine to enliven Miccosukee Indian Village

Try the food. See the spectacle. The Miccosukee Tribe’s 48th annual Indian Arts & Crafts Festival will bring Native American culture alive with music, dance and authentic cuisine in the heart of the Everglades this weekend.

An artisan market will be part of the three-day festival that runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Saturday at the Miccosukee Indian Village Festival fairgrounds, located at 500 U.S. Highway 41.

Tickets, which gets you into live performances by Joe Tohonnie Jr. and the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers and others, are $20 for adults and $10 for children, ages 6-12.
