Third high-profile voter fraud case dismissed

by carlislewillard

A third South Florida judge has thrown out a case of voting illegally that was highlighted in the debut of the state’s new elections police force in August, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Terry Hubbard of Pompano Beach was charged with voter fraud and false swearing — one of 20 arrests announced by Gov. Ron DeSantis as part of a controversial, $3.7 million crackdown on voter fraud.

Broward County Circuit Judge George Odom Jr. found that the statewide prosecutor does not have jurisdiction in the case, just as two Miami judges did in earlier cases.

The state has appealed the Miami cases.
