Fate breaks for Dolphins first playoff appearance since 2016

by Margaret Willard

One part of the Miami Dolphins’ first appearance in the playoffs since 2016 was out of their control – the Bills had to beat the Patriots – and the second part was made possible by Jason Sanders’ clutch, 50-yard field goal with 18 seconds left.

The defense won the game, according to the Sun Sentinel’s David Hyde, but questions remain about what kind of offense the team has for this season’s third game with Buffalo.

The teams have split two games,  but quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion will likely keep him from the game. And back-up Teddy Bridgewater has a dislocated pinky finger.
