The second year of the LGBTQ event, My Hollywood Pride festival, will feature a “Banned Book Nook” so people can see what books are being banned from Florida schools in response to a law passed during the 2022 legislative Session, the Sun Sentinel reports.
The free festival is scheduled from 1 to 6 p.m., Jan. 29, 1900 block, Hollywood Boulevard. Attendees should register for free tickets here.
Organizers are promising that this year’s event will be bigger and better than last year’s event, which had drag queen performers, a youth center and an LGBTQ and LGBTQ-friendly vendor marketplace.
