Jared Moskowitz will help to lead the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force in Congress with fellow freshman U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost.
The task force Chair, U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, announced new leadership Monday. Frost and Moskowitz are among 16 Vice Chairs and the only Floridians.
Moskowitz, whose Statehouse speech after the 2018 Parkland shooting helped pass Florida’s first gun safety law in decades, anticipates “finding common ground” on the issue in Washington.
Frost, the former organizing director of March For Our Lives, said he’ll work to end a “senseless epidemic of violence that claims 100 lives a day.”
