15 qualify for Miami Commission Special Election next month

Fifteen candidates qualified for a Special Election Feb. 27 to fill the District 2 seat on the City Commission through November.

Those candidates are former Agriculture Department spokesperson Sabina Covo, wealth manager Michael Goggins, Realtor Javier González, marketer Lior Halabi, retailer Alicia Kossick, lawyer Eddy Leal, media producer and marketer Max Martínez, lawyer Lorenzo Palomares-Starbuck, Coconut Grove Village Councilwoman Renita Samuels-Dixon, Realtor June Savage, auto dealer Kathy Suarez, craftsperson Christi Tasker, Downtown Neighbors Alliance President James Torres, former Human Services outreach worker Mario Vuksanovic and lawyer Martin Zilber.

González, Martínez, Palomares-Starbuck and Savage made prior, but unsuccessful, runs for elected office.
