The Owls’ basketball team continued its victory march Saturday, now winning 18 straight games in a decisive defeat of the University of Texas at El Paso, 67-59.
Now ranked No. 21 in the Associated Press’ top 25 poll, the Owls are ranked just behind well-known basketball powerhouses, such as UConn and the University of Miami. With the second-longest active winning streak in the NCAA, the Owls’ determination is unmistakable.
UTEP scored zero points in the first 6:48, as FAU raced to a 12-point lead. UTEP couldn’t get any closer than within 8 points to FAU’s score, despite its home-court advantage.
