After downing Western Kentucky 70-63 on Saturday, the Owls officially soared to a new bar: Longest active winning streak in the country. The team goes into Thursday’s game at the University of Alabama at Birmingham with 20 consecutive wins.
The 21-1 record puts the Owls at No. 19 in Associated Press Poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches Poll, school officials said.
“It feels great to know that all of our hard work is being noticed,” senior guard Michael Forrest said.
