The sale of a city-owned 3.8-acre lot for $6.5 million will be up for voter approval at the next City Election March 14.
If voters approve, the lot adjacent to Interstate 95 will become a hub of restaurants, offices, businesses and housing, according to The Real Deal.
Commissioners in three districts have scheduled meetings for later in the month. They will be held:
• 7 p.m., Feb. 15, at the City Commission chambers, 150 NE 2nd Ave.
• 7 p.m., Feb. 22, Hillsboro Community Center, 50 Hillsboro Technology Dr.
• 1 p.m., Feb. 24, Century Village Activity Room, 2400 Century Blvd.
