Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz is calling for a new panel to combat a “troubling rise” in antisemitism and for GOP lawmakers to include COVID-era spending under Donald Trump in a planned probe.
Writing to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Moskowitz, Florida’s former director of Emergency Management, requested the creation of a “Select Committee on Combating Antisemitism.”
He also told members of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee $10 billion in pandemic funds were spent wastefully under Trump and deserve a look alongside COVID spending under President Joe Biden.
“COVID was not a two-year event; it was a three-year event.”
