U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz participated in a memorial ceremony in Parkland Tuesday for the victims of the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High. Maxwell Frost, a fellow freshman Florida Congressman, joined him.
As a state Representative, Moskowitz, an MSD alum, helped pass the Florida Legislature’s first major gun reform law in decades after the Valentine’s Day shooting five years ago.
“Today is a reminder why I fight every day for these families to prevent this tragedy from happening in another community,” he said.
He said his and Frost’s “North Star” in Washington is a nationwide “ban on assault weapons.”
