The Miami Heat have traded Dwayne Dedmon and a 2028 draft pick to the San Antonio Spurs in exchange for cash considerations, NBA.com reported at the trading deadline.
The team didn’t acquire anything in the deal that the Sun Sentinel’s Ira Winderman termed, “money for nothing.” The trade gets the team the ability to add one or two players from the buyout market, Winderman reported.
Dedmon, a center, spent three seasons in Miami. The Spurs waived him and Philadelphia picked him up. The Spurs were after Miami’s draft pick primarily, according to reports.
Orlando Robinson will take his place.
