“Love Grows” is the theme for this year’s Ninth Annual Plants & People Day at the Sample-McDougald House.
More than 35 vendor booths will be open from 10 a.m-3 p.m. Sunday at the historic landmark, which as built in 1916 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Attendees will browse native and butterfly plants, herbs, trees, orchids, art and crafts for sale. The day also hosts lectures on urban farming, bees and honey, with music and family-friendly activities.
Two pioneer families lived in the historic home.
