The FAU Owls men’s baseball team started their season this past weekend scoring three decisive wins over Monmouth for opening weekend.
All told, the Owls scored 37 runs in the three-game series at the Boca Raton campus, with the third game score a blowout 17-2 victory.
Pitcher Nicholas Del Prado was likely a key element in the victory. He held Monmouth scoreless with just one hit through the first four innings. All told, the Owls’ pitching kept Monmouth to two runs on eight hits.
FAU batters broke it open and the Owls scoring first, according to an FAU news release.
