The new Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has been coaching football longer than the team’s head coach Mike McDaniel has been alive, but the Sun Sentinel’s Dave Hyde has pronounced the pair a good match.
McDaniel brought a lost offense back to life – now ranked No. 11 – but the team’s No. 27-ranked defense is wanting. Enter Fangio, who has coordinated a top-10 defense in nine of his 22 years dedicated to defense, Hyde points out.
Fangio’s staff is taking shape. His first hire is Chargers defensive coordinator Renaldo Hill as secondary/passing game coordinator, the Miami Herald reported this week.
