FAU men’s basketball ends regular season seeded No. 1 in its conference

In a season of records and firsts, Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team captured another Saturday: Conference USA regular season champions.

The Owls soared to the No. 1 seed in the conference tourney with a 75-49 victory over UTEP, according to an FAU news release.

Over the past season, the Owls have hit the record books in most home wins, longest winning streak, and the school’s highest ranking in its conference.

FAU will be traveling next week to face Rice University on Thursday and LA Tech on Saturday. After that, Conference USA Championship Tournament starts in Frisco, Texas on March 8.
