Free, native trees are up for grabs at the 21st Annual Broward County Water Matters Day from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Tree Tops Park, 3900 SW 100th Ave., Davie.
Residents are eligible for a free tree if they visit 10 of the event’s 40 educational exhibits on the area’s water resources, tips and devices for conservation.
Those attending a UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center-sponsored seminar on disease-tolerant citrus may also get a Sugar Belle® mandarin tree.
The event is free, but seminar visitors will be charged the park’s weekend entry fee of $1.50 per person.
